The Zen of motorcycle camping
"This 1098's the dog's bollocks!". Lobbit's grin widens as he balances his sleeping bag on top of the tent roll and races round the bike to get the bungees on before it topples off. One hand supports the bag while he streeeetches around to hook the other end of the bungee cord round the rear peg. Repeating the procedure ensures tent and bag are well secured. Easy, much better than the time the bungee hook nearly took his eye out while he was loading his R1.
As he tries to work out how to fit the rest of his gear onto the small space still left on the pillion seat, he notices said pillion walking slowly towards him, her smile decidedly less broad than his own.
"And where am I supposed to sit?", she demands, her voice holding that undertone of menace that he was beginning to recognise ... and dread. His grin fades as his mouth decides to experiment with incoherent stutters instead.
"What would Ogri do?". Inspiration! "Hey, Babe, your legs look gorgeous in those new leathers". Some of the anger leaves her eyes, so Lobbit continues "yeah, really gorgeous. I bet with legs like that you could walk to the Farmyard in no time."
Lobbit didn't see his wife for three days. On the fourth day the swelling went down slightly and he could see her a little out of one eye.
There has to be a better way
